Round Up Awards Grant to Community Groups

ru-logo-in-oval_vector_for-hatNewark, Ohio: In February of 2017, The Energy Cooperative Operation Round Up Foundation, Inc. awarded $28,239 to the following community groups in our service area:

  • Licking County Aging Program, Inc. for heating cabinets for Meals on Wheels program
  • Thurston-Walnut Township Fire Department toward an extrication tool for automobiles
  • MTVarts for shelving for costume shop
  • Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. for a tablet and projector
  • Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society for a new computer and printer
  • Foundation Park Conservancy in Mt. Vernon toward an electronic message center
  • Licking Township Fire Co. for a gas detector monitoring device
  • Avondale Youth Center in Zanesville toward a replacement phone system

The Energy Cooperative Operation Round Up is a community service program of its member-owners. Members “round up” their utility bills to the next dollar and that amount is donated to groups in The Energy Cooperative’s 15 county service area who meet the funding guidelines. Since its inception, Operation Round Up has donated more than $2.55 million to our community. Click here for more information on Operation Round Up.
