Operation Round Up Foundation Awards

April 2017

 

 In April of 2017, The Energy Cooperative Operation Round Up Foundation, Inc. awarded $79,650 to the following community groups in our service area:

  • Muskingum County Goat Committee to convert an old barn at the fairgrounds
  • American Red Cross, SE Ohio Chapter for a smoke alarm installation project
  • Licking County Health Department for supplies for a third grade wellness program
  • Nelson T. Gant House toward a security system
  • Danville Local Schools toward a new football press box
  • Thornville Youth Rec Association toward a batting cage for baseball and softball
  • Muskingum Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America for items for a small boat sailing program
  • 6th Street and Growing Community Gardens for a shelter and raised beds
  • The Turban Project for cutting room tables and supplies
  • Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church for school supplies/backpack program
  • Muskingum County Agricultural Society toward electrical upgrades at the fairgrounds
  • Northridge Youth Athletic Association for renovations to a field in Homer
  • The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art, and Technology toward the SciDome project
  • Southwest Licking Schools toward ADA boardwalk for outdoor classroom project

February 2017

In February of 2017, The Energy Cooperative Operation Round Up Foundation, Inc. awarded $28,239 to the following community groups in our service area:

  • Licking County Aging Program, Inc. for heating cabinets for Meals on Wheels program
  • Thurston-Walnut Township Fire Department toward an extrication tool for automobiles
  • MTVarts for shelving for costume shop
  • Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. for a tablet and projector
  • Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society for a new computer and printer
  • Foundation Park Conservancy in Mt. Vernon toward an electronic message center
  • Licking Township Fire Co. for a gas detector monitoring device
  • Avondale Youth Center in Zanesville toward a replacement phone system

The Energy Cooperative Operation Round Up is a community service program of its member-owners. Members “round up” their utility bills to the next dollar and that amount is donated to groups in The Energy Cooperative’s 15 county service area who meet the funding guidelines. Since its inception, Operation Round Up has donated more than $2.55 million to our community.
